What To Expect

WHAT TO EXPECT

What is the service like and how long is it?

Our heart at Grace Point is to reach people and build community. Our worship service is thus planned around connecting people to God and to each other. We start with inspiring worship led by our worship team, followed by a powerful and Bible-based message by Pastor Rich. You are encouraged to participate and express your worship as you feel comfortable. Afterwards, you can grab a cup of free coffee, connect with others, or meet Pastor Rich in the foyer. Our entire worship experience lasts 75 minutes.

What is the teaching like?

Pastor Rich communicates with a warm, honest, and personal style. Each weekend you’ll find his messages are Bible-based, offering practical life guidance rich in wisdom, yet easy to understand. Whether you’ve been following Christ for some time or are curious about what a relationship with God looks like, you’ll find Pastor Rich easy to connect with. Our messages are typically grouped in a 3-4 week series, exploring all aspects of a given passage or topic. (Check out our previous series here)

What kind of music can I expect at Grace Point?

Just like our church demographics, our music reflects our multigenerational and multicultural diversity. We strive for musical excellence, but we don’t want to merely put on a show. Our desire is that you encounter God in an authentic way during our time together. If you will like to be part of the GPC Worship Team as a musician or vocalist, please click here to download an application and turn it in at the Welcome Desk. What do I do when I arrive?

From the moment you enter our church, our First Impressions Team will help you find your way. If you have children, stop by the Kidcheck kiosk located by the entrance. A volunteer will assist you through the check-in process, and your child will be given a nametag with a code. You will be given a tag with their unique code so you can be sure you’ll be the only one allowed to pick up your child after service. You can then drop them off at your child’s class where the GraceKids staff will welcome your child with open arms. If you don’t have children, grab a cup of free coffee at the visitors room and head into the Worship Center. If you have any questions, please stop by the Welcome Desk in the lobby.

WALKING IN OUR BUILDING

How should I dress?

Comfortably! We are more concerned with meeting you than with what you wear. Our church is very diverse and you’ll see nearly every style of clothing, from casual to business professional.

What about my kids?

Kids are a very big deal at Grace Point! We desire to reach and teach children in such a way that they have the greatest opportunity to become fully developing followers of Christ. Our children’s ministry, GraceKids, is a safe and fun environment for kids to grow in their relationship with God and others. Our programs are designed to each unique age group and they will have a blast!  A volunteer* will assist you through the check-in process: Nursery (Birth – 2 Year Olds), 3 – 4 Year Olds Class, 5 Year Olds – 1st Grade Class,  2nd – 3rd Grade Class, or 4th – 5th Grade Class. To find out more about each class, please click here*Your child’s safety is our highest priority and so we require each of our volunteers to undergo a background check prior to serving.

What about my teenagers?

Arise Youth is our middle-school and high-school ministry! Our vision is to ignite a fire in the hearts of the next generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ. Our youth join us during Sunday morning services for worship and are dismissed to their Bible-study class the first 3 weeks of each month. On the 4th Sundays, Arise joins the adults for the entire service. Each week we have a Wednesday Night Worship Service specifically for them. This service provides a fun and welcoming environment for new students and is designed to help teenagers develop and deepen their relationship with Christ and their friendships with each other. Arise meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at Grace Point, unless stated otherwise. To find out more about Arise Youth, please click here.
